can i easily convert a dts-wav from 48khz to 44.1khz with a normal wav-editor like cooledit or wavelab.

You can't unless you have a DTS filter(I don't know of any).
Just use BeSure v1.2: http://dspguru.notrace.dk/stable.htm

but besure could only convert ac3 to dts-cd. it's not the best solution because the algorithm to store surround sound are different.
