Problems splitting tng s7 discs

Ive been using ifoedit to split the tng dvds in 2 by just leaving 1 vob id checked in each of the 2 pgcs that I cut out. But with these later s7 discs they have it set up where each vob id has 2 chapters (like vobid 1/1 and 1/2, etc) and even if i keep the smallest vob ids (which are like 8 minutes) for the pgcs i want to cut out the output vobs are allways over 4.37gigs (they usually end up to be about 4.50gigs or so), even if i cut out the 2ch audio. Is there some way i can delete half of a vob id (like 3/2 or something) so i can get it to fit?

Nevermind, I just ended up rebuilding it in Scenarist and replaced the extra vobs that were in pgc1 and pgc2 with dark 5sec m2v clips. That gave me more then enough room to keep everything and the original menu works perfectly also.
