Determining AC3 tracks in DVD2AVI?

I'm ripping my DVD's with DVD Decryptor and unlike the guide states for DVD2AVI, I do NOT end up with at .txt file that lays out which audio streams are which. Is there a way I can still use DVD Decryptor and find out which tracks I need to demux? The guide really doesn't give any other options other than to use Smart Ripper.

Just 'demux all tracks' in both 'dolby digital' and 'mpeg audio' in dvd2avi's audio menu. Then save a project and your audio will be in the directory. Play each 2 c which is witch. Alternatively you can choose 'demux' and choose the number of the track at 'track number', yes really. DTS can be demuxed with vobrator (or dvd2avi 1.77 ?).
If you're stuck in DVDdecrypter: check 'stream information' in its tools -> settings -> ifomode. Does this help?

Here's what I do, never fails me.

1. Make sure you have AC3 filters in computer, available free in download audio section here.
2. As stated previous demux all tracks.
3. Select track 1. If you pick 3, It'll not demux 1 and 2.
4. Use WMP to open each of the AC3 files, and play them a little. If you are not gonna use that track, delete it. Worse thing you can possibly do is dump something you want, if that happens, no biggie, run dvd2avi again.
5. When you've done this, you'll have only the AC3 you want in the folder. It has kept me from accidently using croatian or cantonese soundtracks before.

You can get a short description text file upon ripping in IFO mode, if under the Tools...Settings....IFO Mode tab, you have "Stream Information" checked.

I have indeed seen a Croatian audio track, I believe it was behind enemy lines. I could be wrong. As for my ignorance, at my advanced age, I sincerely doubt that I will ever visit your fair nation. Since it its very unlikely your nations armed forces will be attacking middle america any time soon, the need to learn your language is not on my to do list. If perhaps you are aware of some plans to attack america's heartland, be advised most of us are better shots than our military, and we are all armed.

Im sorry, I understand the difference of languages can be a touchy subject, but when we are all here trying to learn about digitally converting these soundtracks that we own, and bettering ourselves by coming here, i think we should remember who provides this service to us and try to stay away from the petty differences that we have. We are all here for the same reason, to learn, and to make awesome outcomes from our experiences here. Please dont ruin it by pulling in politics and make our cultural differences known here. This is my escape from all of that, I enjoy that, dont ruin it for me or anyone else.

If i misread the way this post was going, I appologize, but it sounded kinda nutty to me, when im just looking at a tunnel that has problem=doom9=solution. We all have to learn sometime, lets keep this forum going strong and pay our respects to the mods and remember the first time we asked a question here.
