Dear all
I am no expert when it comes to taking backups of my DVD's however I've been very successful apart from one so far "Austin powers 2"
First of all I used smart ripper to rip the entire image to hard disk.
Secondly I ran Ifoedit and just kept the streams i needing using the wonderful Vobextras function.
Once streamed I was left with a folder containing the following files :-
VIDEO_TS.BUP 20k
VIDEO_TS.IFO 20K
VTS_06_0.BUP 80K
VTS_06_0.IFO 80K
VTS_06_0.VOB 147,928K
VTS_06_1.VOB 1,048,356K
VTS_06_2.VOB 1,048,190K
VTS_06_3.VOB 1,048,194K
VTS_06_4.VOB 142,880K
If I click on any of the vob files then power DVD will automatically start playing these fine, infact I watched the entire film this way.
my concern is .... normally before I burn as a safty coaster measure I launch power DVD and select the option to open up the DVD files from my hard disk.
I then select the VIDEO_TS.IFO , but unfortunatly for this particlar rip I encountered an error code
80070002 The system cannot find the file specified.
I then launched IFOEDIT and opened the VTS_06_0.IFO and tried to DVD play the film but am presented with an error get number of chapters failed.
I just wondered if there are any fixes for this or if its possible to recreate the chapters file, would love to know what i'm doing wrong.
machine spec - this may help :-
I'm running xp pro on a 3 gig P4 and using a pioneer 104 writer, smart ripper and ifoedit are at present version.
Hope someone can help me , thanks in advanced :)
