CCE: Lord Of The Rings

To anyone who has encoded LOTR before, is it normal to have a lot of grey areas in CCE? There are TONS in this movie and right now, I'm only about 20 minutes into the thing. I'm new so I haven't done this much, so I'm just wondering. Is there an easier way to eliminate the grey areas or is going through with the +GOP -GOP about the most reliable way?

i re-encoded both dvd-9's to one dvd-r @ 2100kb/s with CCE and had only one grey section about 4 seconds long. The hardest part was joining the files together, syncing the audio without losing the 3/2DD sound format. Encoding with CCE was the easy part

No mess. no fuss.
15 mins to rip.
5 mins to edit avs script.
5 mins to find necessary Q val.
2 hours to encode.
1 hour to burn including remuxing and chapter insertions etc with ifoedit.

All done.

I did it with rempeg , I know its longer to say the least but I got great results , remuxed with Ifodeit , shit hot copy its ok if you are not in a hurry , like from 6pm to 9am the next day , havent tried it with cce , but I would think it would be half that time :p
