How do I disable certain control functions in a menu?

I have read about all the guides and searched the forum at length, but I can't seem to find an answer. I hope it can be done.

I have a DVD that I wish to keep the main movie, menu and only one of the special features. I have successfully stripped out all the video and audio streams I don't want, but some of the menu funtions are still active that no longer point to an active IFO or VOB. This causes a major error if you accidently click on these menu items.
I can't get rid of the one menu that causes a problem since the extra I want to keep is on it with the ones that are no longer there.

All the guides I have read show how to get rid of entire menu pages and not menu items or controls to those items.

Is there a way to make the controls of the menu items that are no longer there not function anymore while keeping the one that does?

I am assuming this is an IfoEdit question, but I really don't know.

This is where the Delete Playback button at the bottom of the IFOEdit screen comes in. You also need to know the VOB-ID numbers for the VOB-ID's you stripped earlier.

1. Open the movie menu VTS_0X_0.IFO with IFOEdit.
2. In the bottom screen scroll all the way to the bottom to the Language Menu Unit area.
3. Highlight the Menu X item for the movie menu selections you *don't* want, that contain the VOB-ID numbers you stripped out, and click the Delete Playback button.
4. Click the Save button. You can save the .IFO to another directory or overwrite the original.

I ran across this in Derrow's guides and it works pretty well.
