View Full Version : Ifoedit doesn't strip the streams right??

Hello everybody,

I am new to DVD-r copying, and followed Doom9's guide to ifoedit to strip the DVD to its main movie only and wanted to leave out the extra audio tracks to have the minimum of data to be transferred to the DVD-r.

I did experiment a bit on DVD-decrypter and Ifoedit, so I did a full-file copy from a DVD and let ifoedit strip down the movie to its vob-ids/cells and selected only one language to be in the new compilation.

The movie was playable through Powerdvd, and I thought everything was fine. Then I decrypted with DVD-decrypter again only the mainmovie and did streamprocess only one language. The filesize was about 350MB smaller.

I let Vobrator analyze Ifoedits' vobs and found out, that it copied two audio streams, Vobedit also showed 0x80 and 0x81.

I did it several times now with ifoedit (to be sure that it wasn't my mistake), and on some titles it just left a second audio stream in it. Though the ifo worked (and had no info about the second stream), there is data inside the vobs, I did not select.

What could be the problem, it seems that nobody else has got this problem, or just did not notice it, because I did not find anything in the forums search.

Could it be that those are PAL-versions? I've read somewhere about problems with those..

Thank you,

Don
