I've created a VCD using DVD2SVCD and burned using the full version of Nero 5.5.6.4. The VCD and mpg files play fine using PowerDVD 3.0. However, after playing aprox. 23 min. on my Toshiba SD-3750 stand-alone player, the VCD freezes. If I try fast-forwarding the screen just goes black and the movie will not continue. It freezes at the same location if I try playing the whole movie again.
The only other VCD that I've created did the same thing, only I didn't pay attention to the time when it froze.
I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

It could be a issue of your toshiba player, is could be also a issue of the cd-r you used - have you ever tried using Verbatim CD-R ?

I'm using TDK 80 min. CD-R's. Has anyone had a problem with this brand? Also, does anyone have this Toshiba DVD player?

Burning speed is also important: best with 4x, but also OK with 8x. Never higher.

I burned a new VCD at 8X and it froze at the same spot.

I've switched to the encode as SVCD and burn as VCD "header" trick. It seems to work like a charm.
