Several times I have installed and uninstalled various versions of ffdhow,
among them the latest alpha and the latest stable version, but
I always get the same problem:
Playback at about half speed and CPU load at around 100%
(divx5 or xvid decoders use about 25%CPU at full rate for the same videos)

I have tried all available players and movies in divx5, divx4 and xvid, with and without b-frames.
The only type of video playing correctly with ffdshow is huffyuv.
I have tried regular sound renderer and reclock.

I also checked the DShow-Graph in Graphedit:
no filters in the chain that shouldn't be there.

system specs:
Athlon XP1800+ on ECS K7S5A, 256MB SDRAM, ATI Rage128, all the latest drivers, Dx9

Please, has anyone had the same problem and found a solution?
I'd really like to use ffdshow's nice features.

i have this problem only in ZoomPlayer. ffdshow works in every other play i've tried. so for this reason, i use the DivX5 decoder for ZoomPlayer. I use ffdshow when watching in BSPlayer (on my computer, use ZoomPlayer for TV-out). i couldn't ever find an answer, if you do please let me know.

Got it solved by installing DX9!
When I choose to use VMR9 in latest ZoomPlayer, ffdshow works like a charm.
(Still doesn't work in other players though, but normally i only use ZoomPlayer anyway.)
