I never gave much thought into re-encoding movies at lower bit rates, but since trying it with CCE I'm amazed at the results.
I can barely tell the difference between the re-encode (quality 40 or 50) and the original, yet it takes up a LOT less space and easily fits on a dvd-r. Heck, I was able to fit two star trek movies on a single dvd-r and I watched it on my 32 inch tv and it seemed fine to me. No sync problems either :)
Am I missing something? am I blind?? why doesn't everyone do this?
