Hi, I know this is sort of off-topic but since the problem is affecting my ripping and the people here are knowledgeable I thought I would post it here.
I am using Windows XP and have been since I purchased my laptop, and it has been working fine. However, recently I "lost" my Windows Explorer. For example, I right click "My Computer" and Open / Explore are gone, the default action is Search. If I hit Windows Key + E (normally opens a windows explorer window) it says "The parameter is incorrect." Note that windows explorer runs fine if I just run c:\windows\explore.exe, so I think it must be a registry problem or something (although I'm not sure?). Once I run explorer.exe I can browse folders, open files, etc, but if I try to open a folder in the right pane it treats it like it's a file not associated with a program to open it (i.e., brings up a list of programs to open it with). Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
EDIT: I screwed up my registry apparently, I fixed it by restoring from backup. Stupid me :(
