Compressability

hi .. call me an idiot if you like, but i've got a question:

I've done a compressability check, 2-pass first using XviD.
i've loaded the .stats file in gordian knot to get the compressability percentage.

ok .. now the question: what is a good value?
is higher oder lower better?

Higher is better. I usually try and get a value of 65-70%. 43% is too low in my opinion. I'd recommend going to 2 CDs. Or you can add filters to make it more compressible (but you'll have a tough time raising it by 20%). Or you might start over with a smaller resolution.
