Hi,

I'm using Scenarist 2.6.
I have an animated menu with 4 video clips on it. Each video clip has its own sound track.
I would like to do the following:
When I highlight a video clip (just using the navigation keys) I want the corresponding sound track to be played.
How can I do that ?

Thanks.

OK, you need to have four different menus with the four different soundtracks. For all of the buttons, check the Auto Action box (Simulation window, Subpicture and Highlight tab, Buttons in drop-down box).

For Menu 1, button 1 will link to Video 1, button 2 will link to Menu 2, button 3 will link to Menu 3, and button 4 will link to Menu 4. Repeat for the other three menus, so that the only buttons that link to Videos are button 1 on Menu 1, button 2 on Menu 2, button 3 on Menu 3, and button 4 on Menu 4.

Since you are being forced to use four different menus by this limitation of the DVD Spec of only one soundtrack per menu, you could choose to take advantage of it, say by making the videos for the other buttons in each menu into a static pattern or giving them a washed-out look. That way, moving to another button will make that button's video start, and it doesn't become quite so obvious that everything starts over every time you move to another button.
