heres the thing, in FlaskMPEG ide try to rip Star Wars Episode Two on DVD. Im sure u all know about this title's unique compression type. If the VOBs are played frame by frame, it plays like 3 seconds of the title words scrolling, over and over, each time in a differant language. THen proceeds do to the same with the next 3 second section

in Flask MPEG if i opened the VOB directly it would encode each frame thus ide get the repeating in my AVI. However if i opened the IFO file in Flask then it would read the IFO for what frames to go to for a cirtian language selection and this ude get a coherant and non-repeating encode. However im having other problems with Flask so i cannot use it.

Im trying to encode it using Gordian Knot. Ive done a few DVDs however when i try this one, i see no option in the DVD2AVI or in Gknot isself to open the IFO(as i did in flask)... so i get the repeating frames, because theres a lack of the IFO which guides it for a coherant movie.

How do i acuire the IFO in Gknot in order to achieve a coherant Star Wars Episode 2?

Its NTSC // [U/C]

I don't know the film, but it "sounds like" you are getting multiple angles in your rip. If that's the case, use IFO mode in DVD Decryptor, or Movie mode in SmartRipper (if you're using an earlier release of Gknot). In both cases, you should be able to extract a single angle from a multi-angle vob set. Vstrip should not be necessary, but you can do the same using it.

I may be completely off base, of course...

jggimi is absolutely correct. You did rip your movie in file mode (as you should when using flaskmpeg), but gknot requires that you rip the files differently (or use vstrip on the files you have on your HD).
