Playing AVI files, only getting a grey screen...

I'm using WMP and bsplayer, audio works. I'm not sure the exact codec, but seems like most all my avi files i get only a grey screen, and the audio works. I installed Nimo's pack and even installed divx3 and 5 again to make sure, but still having a problem. plese help ;[

I'm not surprised if you get a grey screen!
It's not really wise to install DivX5 & 3 Codec AND a codec-pack.
Read a statement of Blight (http://forum.inmatrix.com/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi?s=3e16bead6e03ffff;act=ST;f=7;t=1217)(zoomplayer) about codec-packs.

If you use the DivX5 Decoder: don't activate "Smooth Playback".
Try ffdshow (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow) for the playback of DivX 3-5/Xvid stuff.
Hope you use the good old WMP 6.4 and not the buggy 7/8.
