I used subrip to extract the subtitles from my movie. That seemed to work okay. I used the default for Maestro once and once for Scenarist. When I view the movie with the subtitles, the whole screen is black except for the subs at the bottom. Basically, the subtitle bitmap is overlaying the entire frame of the film. I followed the guide and it's just not working correctly.
Help???
Thanks!

Hi,
more information needed. Did you choose " Edit palet " in Maestro and did you imported the .spf file?

In Maestro I added my assets and then imported the *.son file that was created by subrip. I followed the Maestro guide to import the files into Maestro. Do I need to do any color mapping adjustments for the subtitles? Isn't that all handled by subrip? According to the guide for subrip, you set the screen area for 720x480 which I did. That made me think that it was creating a frame that was the size of the entire screen for the sub, but that's what the guide says to do.

Hi,
after importing the .son file, just double-click on a subpicture. Then a window will apear. Choose colors, edit palet, another window will pop-yp, choose load and import the .spf file. Click load and OK. Check your subs. now and see if they are OK and the image of the video shows correct.
If thatīs not the case you may need to change the colors at the right ( four colors and four numbers ) by hand and save as a new .son file. Try this step and tell the resilts later.
