Mpeg2dec.dll role in CCE speed

I´ve been searching in the web and i found mpeg2dec.dll (various versions), mpeg2dec2.dll and even mpeg2dec3.dll
Can anyone tell me whats the best version and what yield best in CCE .

If you have PIV you should use mpeg2dec2.dll by TBARRY whis is "A MPEG2DEC.DLL sustitute. This is the same MPEG2DEC.DLL with SSE2 optimization. Faster with Pentium IV CPUs."

For AMD processors what´s the best(fastest) mpeg2dec ???

The fastest mpeg decoder are mpeg2dec2 or mpeg2dec3

If yopur use avisynth 2.50 (alfa stage) , use MPEG2DEC3. It is the fastest option.

mpeg2dec3 have a good mod for quality. I use it on athlon cpu with cce 2.50

I use the mpeg2dec.ddl because I have an athlon cpu and use avisynth 2.07. The others mpeg decoders except mpeg2dec2.dll are not fully tested (for what I read, correct me if I am wrong) so I wouldn't suggest using them.

If I understand it, 'stable' refers to how much a software has been tested. Dividees mpeg2dec.dll is the oldest and has been tested the most. Starting out, I would want to test this against Tom's Mpeg2dec for 2.07 or try Mpeg2dec3 with 2.5. Mpeg2dec is too important not to test it yourself, as it affects every frame of every encode.

P.S. Do not put 2.5 mpeg2dec3 in the 2.07 plugin directory.
