2D Cleaner is great and it's good to see a version compiled against avisynth 2.5 but it requires a conversion to yuy2.

Which isn't to say it's not worthwhile to use in avisynth2.5 scripts. I'm just looking forward to a yv12 version more. :)

I won't use yv12 until it's final. I don't think avisynth 2.5 is even on beta stage.

Are you the coder? Some impressing filters on that page... only one VERY minor thing... i cant read japanese :( And the online FREE translators suck... so if you would be so kind as to make a english translation of the page and/or the help files, it would trully be of great help.

jarthel didn't coded it, kiraru2002 is the dev. he's japanese.

BTW, for 2dcleaner & YV12 fans, i suggest you to try deen(a2d), should give similar results.

deen just can't get the same results as 2dcleaner Marc... not saying it isn't good... what it does is great but still not enough for me to drop 2d cleaner out of the picture... i just can't seem to get rid of the "swimming background and faces in my anime" that i easily get rid of with kiraru's optimized casaburi 2dcleaner... it retains the lines in anime better while getting rid of practically all the motion blocks... i've tried many deen settings and am completely open to suggestion...

well, there's a very small difference between a2d & 2dcleaner, maybe if you use too big chroma thresholds, it'll give differents effects on chroma. but they are very very close.

i dunno if its cause the filter works better in rgb mode in its vdub filter mode...

I'll try and run some tests and get the clips upped onto my website or something to show u the difference in clips...

I'm about to test this new avs 2.5 yuy2 and see if its better to do a converttoyuy2 and then the 2dcleaner to input to vdubmod...

i'll try and get back to ya'll...

You don't have to tell me that for me to know. I've known avisynth 2.5 for months now. :) It's still in alpha I think. Most of the plugins are either in alpha or beta. The plugins "might" require recoding when 2.5 is finally released.

So until avisynth 2.5 and the plugins I used is almost ready for primetime, I'll be using yuv2.
