Hi everyone, I have a question here and I was wondering if anyone can help me. I burned some musics DVD-R and notice that my DVD-R ac3 sound quality is not as good as the originals ac3 on the DVD. So I did some testing. I took a vob and demux into ac3 which is 2.0 448khz, and the same vob file I decoded it into wave 2channel stereo. Both demux and decode process are done by DVD2AVI. With the decoded wav I used SoftEncode to encoded that into ac3 with the same settings as the originals ac3, which is 2.0 448khz and everything else as default. After building my project in Maestro with that one song m2v and it's originals ac3 2.0 448khz and my own ac3 which I just encoded as 2.0 448khz. Just from listening through my TV speakers I notice the differences in the sound quality of the original ac3 and my ac3. There's a big different in loudness. I don't know why..the settings are the same..both are 2.0 448khz...how come the originals ac3 is louder than mine ?? Is there anyways to improve my wav or ac3 so that it sounds close or the same as the originals ac3 ??
P.S. I even tried using Acid Pro 4 to make a 6 mono wav and then SoftEncode into 5.1 448khz and it's still not even as loud as the originals ac3...WHY ??????
