Hi guys,
Playing a Vorbis encoded file in winamp by default output a 16bit stream dithered. I made some tests and playing it in 24bit dithered had a better sound quality. I have a soundblaster Live! wich is supposed to only output to 16bit. My questions are:
1) Why 24-bit oubput sound better?
2) How can I play 24bit if my sound card supports only 8 and 16 bit?
Thanks
