I am in the process of ripping the first season of the sopranos. Any rate. I ripped the first 3 episodes off the first disk. I then ripped the 4th one and it split the movie into two mpegs. I wanted one so I had to fiddle with the birate. I then tried to redo the movie and CCE isn't starting? It won't do anything on the log because its not getting that far for me to post it. I changed NO settings nor did anything different to the movie itself?

I then did a FULL PC RESTORE and it still did the same thing. DVD2SVCD stops responding when its asked to launch CCE. The encoder is pointing to the cce executable.. I can open CCE on my own but dvd2svcd isn't opening it at all? I then choose to use TMPGEnc and its running fine?

Can anyone offer me what could have happened... I am running CCE 2.5 SP...

I thank you for your time and efforts to help me out today.

Happy New Year.. Stay Safe!!!!:D

I also forgot to add that dvd2svcd flowed thru with all its steps before the encoding just fine. No issues there.. Just when its asked to launch cce...

Thanks...

I tried to do Lilo and Stitch, and CCE did it again this time I got an error:

This is what it was?

Failed to execute Cinema Craft Encoder properly. Invalid handle.

Can anyone explain what this means?

Thanks again.

I got this same error last night while doing City By The Sea: Failed to execute Cinema Craft Encoder properly. Invalid handle.

It's really weird because I did the same movie (same IFO and VOBS) the night before and it worked fine. The only reason I tried it again is because I had alot of extra space to be used (I use DVD2SVCD to a DVD to DVDR backup).

Anyways I am reinstalling my system from scratch to see if it fixes the problem, but you said you did the same and that still didn't fix it.

I have used this method over 100 times and this is the first time I got this error.

I am using CCE 2.5 SP.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Try loading your script or source into CCE directly to determine if the problem is CCE or is, in fact, the other program you use to set CCE up.
