View Full Version : Rempeg never gets going

I spent some time away from the game and seem to be stuck trying to re-encode with Rempeg. I went back and re-read the guide closely and I'm sure I'm still doing everything correctly.

-Ripped with DVDDecrypter
-Stripped out all extras with IFOedit (and Get VTS and all necessary steps)
-Opened 6vob.cffl file with Rempeg from directory
-It built its nifty 6vob.cffl.vinf
-Set Bitrate to necessary %
-Set output res to 720x480
-Set Frame Mode to Match Source
-Hit encode and set filename to *****.m2v and hit Save
-Rempeg then just sits there with this in the log:

transcoding started...
setting up VBR controller with selected options...
pass 1...
decoder thread started...
encoder thread started...
decoder done...

And that's it. It will sit there forever with not a single CPU cycle run from it. I did maybe 7 or 8 reencodes with this before my hiatus and can't for the life of me figure what's different now.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated - and please don't just say use CCE - that was WAY more complicated than I need. I think I'm just missing some simple step here...

Thanx!

I think Ihad this problem to.

After loading and waiting for you CFFL file to be analysed, restart rempeg (not sure if you have to) and open file again. Now, when clicking on encode choose the same directory as the main vob files and probably cffl file.

Think this might help.
