View Full Version : Field order changes.

Yep, that's right. Field order seems to change in this movie. I've encoded it 3x. First time, I did it where I split it into two encoding sessions and encoded each one to fit onto a disc.(used batch) That way it splits at a point where it's not in the middle of something. When I woke up, I checked it and they both had the 3 steps forward 1 step backward problem that I had back when 1.0.9b2. I thought, maybe it was the internal subtitle problem somehow caused it not to be able to recognize. So this time, I ripped the whole movie and extracted the subtitles to *.ssa and set the bitrates for each one to 740, that way, I'll just create a giant mpeg and split where I want to and not worry about making one too big. I encoded the movie and sure enough, it did the same thing as the first time. Now, last night, I checked the field order using TMPGEnc, which stated B and the AVS script said A. So I thought, maybe that was it. So I crash recovered and set it to B and re-encoded. I woke up and this time, the first 20 minutes played fine, then the rest of the movie did the field order jumping thing. *sigh*

It's Gundam Wing Endless Waltz movie. I'm thinking maybe they merged the oav episodes together, leaving their field orders intact and caused this problem.

I have a 1.2ghz amd athalon compaq. I've recently changed to CCE 1 pass vbr plus vaf (2 passes), because that doesn't take that long. Especially when I IVTC _ALL_ the time. (I still like TMPGEnc and I think the pulldown.exe for CCE makes the video up and down jittery on a computer. Can't tell on a TV, so it's fine.)
