i've just gotten a few divx movies and they've all got the same strane audio problem. when i start playing a movie the first 5 minutes work absolutely fine, but as soon as i play any longer than that the sound dies at different points of the video each time i open it. so playing the same file the sound suddenly dies once at 4.55 another time at 5.12 and a third time az 7.01 (in minutes) it is not my soundcard since i can play my old avis fine without any problems.
oh yeah... divfix and direct stream copies in vdub and nandub don't help. and the files only play in wmplayer... divx player gives me a totally f** up audio (somehow sounds like audio playing way to fast) and bsplayer gives me the following error: unhandled exception at EIP: 770F1767 Application will be termindated
does anybody have any idea what problem this can be?

system:
PIV 2.0
512 DRR Ram
geforce 4 mx 469
audigy 2
winXP home
seagate 7200rpm 80 Gig

PS: the files were copied over a lan, might this be the cause? can't see how though!

thanks for your help in advance

ok i solved the problem i guess.. it helped to install the new nimo5 codec (build 8) and the new bsplayer (build 492) don't ask me why... i also found out that there were 2 (!!) audio streams in the files (-> strange audio in divx player, just played both!) well i hope this thread (post) at least heps somebody else so that he/she doesn't have to search around for half a day (:
