After having recently re-formated ,i decided to use only avisynth 2.5 as a frameserver. For that :
-1.placed avisynth.dll(2.5 latest version) in system32 folder
-2.renamed virtualdubmod.exe to virtualdub.exe in virtualdub folder of GordianKnot 0.27(and replaced the original one)
-3.put all nedded dlls in there
-4.checked "use alternative mpeg2dec" to mpeg2dec3 and put the last one in gnot folder
-5.placed all avisynth2.5 plugins in gnot's folder
-6.renamed calc.exe(a small widows calulator fron /winnt folder )to vStrip_gui.exe (i'm not currently using vstrip, but i have great need of a calculator for mod4-mod8 resolutions-sorry,i'm not Einstein:) ).That way,the first page of gnot calls the calculator...
-7.replaced mplayer2.exe (windows media player6.4) to mediaplayerclassic(mplayer2c.exe->mplayer2)through safe mode(win2000 keeps replacing the original file)
Now,one could open-edit yv12 avs through GordianKnot ,make comp checks with divx3.11 or divx5(Yes!.nandub opens yv12 scripts, but of course results in yuy2 mode output :( ...).So Nandub users can benefit from yv12 filters without making the "convert to yuy2"trick :D until soneone finds a way to hack divx3.11 to output yv12 as well(personally,i dont find it necessary -i'm an xvid user anyway:cool: )
No avisynth 2.07 anywhere!
The only disadvantage is some filters still ported to yuy2,but all i need right now is already in yv12
PS: i really feel the need to apologise to all developers for this "brutal" invasion to their programs (especially @the Wef)
regards,
george
