Hi,

trying to rip the Dolby Digital part of a concert DVD.
Ripped with DVDDecrypt.
Settings: Stream processing, only the AC3 stream and demux.
That gave me a vob file I could rename to ac3 and play in mediaplayer.
(Is this the correct way?)

Now I try to split the single ac3 files into the chapters.
I start up ChapterExtractor, select the ifo file on the dvd, select the ac3 file and set preset to BeSplit parameter.

I have 17 chapters. Now when I press "go" BeSplit start splitting, but stops at 5 files. If I play these files in mediaplayer they seem to be playing to fast.
To save place I shall just copy part of the log file BeSplit generated. I can post the full log if you want to...

Can anybody help me? Thanks.

you first need to demux the ac3 stream from your file.

use the following commandline :
BeSweet.exe -core( -input VTS_01_1.vob -output temp.ac3 -payload -logfile BeSweet.txt )
and then use BeSplit on temp.ac3.

please post all logfiles.

Thanks DSPGuru, that worked!

A few questions though:

* I thought that I demuxed the track already when ripping it with DVDDecrypt. How is that different from demuxing it with BeSweet? (btw, I couldn't find the payload option anywhere)

* My DVD player supports the tracks like I have them now. Is there any gain in making a DD-CD? (Except that it starts to play automatically, but size is bigger it seems) Because now I have ripped a DD 5.0 DVD and when converting it to a wav, it makes it 5.1. Is there loss of quality then?

* A previous DVD I could rip with DVD2AVI. But now I tried that and 1) the save menu choice was not available (when I didn't add the menu vob) or 2) It went on and on (2 days) ripping something that I couldn't play back) Know what's going on here?

* I cannot transcode to a DD-wav. I already tried it several times with different programs, but no succes, I always get a high pitching noise. Played on PC with Media Player8 and WinAmp 2.80 and on my DVD player (it supports the ac3 files before I transcode them, so everything is set up correct)
My log below for that.
