I have hit a certain problem with ReMPEG2, that no-one else appears to have encountered. I am working with "When we were soldiers". I've done the ripping, prepared the cffl from IfoEdit and loaded it in ReMPEG2. The program then goes through its initial scan of the movie files and crashes at the same point every time (about 94% or 6,226 KB), before it completes the .cffl.vinf file. When I reload ReMPEG2 again and load the incomplete file, the program reports an unsupported resolution problem (some crap message I presume since the file is incomplete).
Now, I've done some 20-30 DVD with smartripper, IfoEdit and ReMPEG2 and never had a problem. I thought this might be a ripping problem, so tried ripping with different programs and settings (DVD Decryper, clad DVD etc.). I also tried VStrip to break the movie in chapters and found that the error occurs in the last chapter of the movie. Can anyone suggest a reason for this problem and a potential remedy?
I'm using a Win2K SP3 machine with a 2.5GHz P4 and 512MB RAM.

caslaw-

I recently bu'd 'We Were' using RemPeg2 and had no problems, but I did have the same thing happen you describe with 'Mash' recently so I just Tpmgenc'ed it.

I think that sometimes Rempeg2 just encounters a certain phase of the moon on a specific date at a certain time and refuses to work!

Good Luck!
