and still be DVD player compatibel ???
I have tried converting the vcd video's to SVCD with TMPGEnc 2.59

I would really like to know if there is some kind of hack or what ever... i can have both VCD and SVCD video's on the the samme cdYep you can! author with vcdeasy, ignor the warning! Both the vcd2.0 and the svcd1.0 profile works. But if you use the svcd profile and put the resaut svcd into a non-svcd compliant dvd player, it will play nothing - "no disc" is the only display. Otherwise with vcd2.0 profile, in such bad player it will be played back at least all the vcd tracks. In most svcd-compliant dvd player(perhaps except some from philips) you can play all the tracks back without problem - also in mixed order! Only one thing to notice: the audio of mpeg2(svcd) track must be 44.1khz(the most svcd-dvd-players can play back the svcd with 48khz audio tracks, but not in such mixed compilation). If you do, the player will be silent when a sampling frenquence change takes place. There is also a workaround for such mis-situation: press the "next" then the "prev" buttons once. have tried converting the vcd video's to SVCD with TMPGEnc 2.59, but i think the video's lose to much quality Nope! Only the filesize will be larger. Otherwise you've made some grob mistakes.
