Hi there, I recently copied VOBs I had which represented complete 26 min TV episodes, to create a new DVD, with the following advice I got from this board:
"Take your vob's, rename them VTS_01_001,VTS_01_002 and so on, then join them together with VobEdit. VobEdit will repackage your vob's in 0.99GB chunks that will fit the dvd standard. After this, open IfoEdit and click "Create Ifo's". Open the first vob and save. 4 new ifo & bup files will be created, then click on get VTS sector, and get ALL IFO files. Now rename the folder to VIDEO_TS and see if your software player can play this(it should). Then you can burn it together with an empty AUDIO_TS folder."
Everything seemed to run fine, chapters all worked ok, so I figured it was a good copy. However, when I played the DVD and tried to either go FF or Rewind, the picture seems to freeze and skip, and brings up images from other chapters...Anyway, when you let go of the FF button, it brings up a point on the DVD that is way off of where it was supposed to be. Does anyone know why this happened, and now that I no longer have the original VOBs, and instead have the 5 .VOBs created for the DVD standard, is there anyway to correct these errors so that FF and Rewind will work properly? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
