I would like to ask forum members if they know of any hardware and software available to achieve the following (this applies to a PC environment running Win2K): Playback of DVD-A and DTS audio discs through the PC's sound card and output via 5.1 to an external receiver (or direct to speakers). And, secondly, how does one extract DVD-A and DTS audio material to a hard drive in MP3 format? (As an FYI, I understand that Creative's Audigy 2 supports DVD-A playback, but it appears to lack a DTS playback feature.) Thank you.

you won't be able to keep the multichannel aspect if you do find a way to get it to the harddrive if you use mp3. Vorbis and AAC both have multichannel support though. Good luck on your quest for finding a drive, for it is my quest too.
