And read forum rule 12 again (the last paragraph about "aht's best").

Of course xvid is better.

But only if you gain the knowledge how to tweak it (though defaults are pretty good as well).

Hehe, DivX is the best of course! :D But if you don't like the level of bestness in DivX, there are even more than bests around for a while, as being discussed in other forums with full support of some marketing industry pros!

XviD is only a humble, free, open-source alternative to all the so-called bests around in the market-place.
