This is a bit off topic, but as Doom9 mentioned in the news recently Christmas is the time for us computer geeks to get upgrades.
For me, it was an awesome Logitech MX700 cordless optical mouse. This thing is sweet. The only problem is my mother spent $75 (plus 5% tax) on it when I could have gotten it for $38 total, but I don't feel too bad because I helped her send in the $15 rebate.
I also got a Lexmark printer, it’s very cheap but I like it. I never bought one before because I rarely print anything at home, but it's good for rebates and recipes. I also never got one because I hate how the printer industry has taken up the razor's business model. Sell the printer cheap and make a killing with ridiculously over priced cartridges. They don’t even include a black ink cartridge so unless I want to use the color one up in no time I have to go spend $30 on a cartridge for a $28 printer. grrr.
So what did Santa add to your system this year?
