HI ALL
Has anyone had problems using the Pioneer DVR-105 DVD-R/-RW burner with CD-R's? I had some DVD2SVCD bin/cue images to cut and it just won't do it. Using even the current Nero (5.5.10.0) I can't seem to get it to cut cd-r using Disc-At-Once mode. Doesn't actually start to cut the disc (so no free coasters thank goodness). It just puts up and invalid parameter message and then a disc failed message.
I've checked the Nero site and there's not a mention of the Pioneer DVR-105 or A05 on the supported recorders list. Is there anyone out there who's had a similar problem with this burner? I know its pretty up-to-date but I thought it'd be more or less a standard.
Generally speaking, can different DVD (or CD) burners have different instruction sets for standard things like DAO mode? Don't they all work to a standard set of instruction calls for their operation? Surely the Pioneer would be pretty standard for CD-R operation. I'd be more inclined to expect problems from the DVD burning section, particularly as its a new 4 speed machine.
Can anyone shed any light on this? I've mailed Nero but they are on holiday til January 2003 and I though if anyone could give some tips at least I could try them out.
I'm using it on a Windows 2000 SR3 system. AMD K7 1.2 Ghz, 640Mb RAM.
Thanks all.
Dave
