What a time I am having with this DVD. It is over 7gb and has vob files for wide screen and full screen on one side. I followed the guides and removed the full screen all files with 08. I try to use IMGTOOL 89 and the img is completed quickly and is small. What gives, loosing hair on this one.

I can get it to run on the PC but have to start it no auto start and it will not play on my Standalone. I have had luck with the bee gees which I split andd it plays great anywhere.

ImgTools 0.89 needs (as the DVD specs require (I suppose)) consecutive numbering in the dvd files. If this is not the case then the later files with jumped numbering are skipped and the image is small and nonsense. try put zero size files to fill the gap, or re-number with ifoedit.

The full video and one 5 channel audio track is just over 3GB so unless you are trying to keep all the extras you should have no problems with this DVD.

How to fix. when ripping use DVD Decrypter, select ifo mode, sellect just the widescreen stream, demultiplex the video and audio, and re-author in infoedit.

I've just recently updated the corresponding guide.. may be worth checking it out again.. there are a few changes that could have an influence for standalone playback (but shouldn't for pc playback.. at the time I wrote the initial guide I didn't have a burner yet but I tested it in PowerDVD 4).
