1st of all i'd like to thanx all the ppl involved in the dvd2svcd bundle software & this forum.:)

well i'm trying to track this little delay problem cos it is a bit noticeable especially in action scenes where u hear the sounds just a bit after it should be.
my standalone is the SD220 Toshiba
i tried a few things after reading the Q&A guide but i have to mention that it is a general issue for me & it's not only happening on a specific movie that's why i really want to find what's wrong.
the last 1 i ripped (internal routines) & converted is k-pax; on the pc the A/V synchro is really perfect but as usual on my standalone it's not (though less than half a sec & noticeable).

i tried something that seems to have worked for another user (getright). didn't worked for me.
i was asking my self if the defaut setting for "movie offset" (2sec) could be the problem. could i be using a value like 1.5 or will it accept only full numbers ?

anyhelp would be really appreciated.
cheers

First thought that comes to mind (since AV are sync on the pc) is to check http://www.vcdhelp.com to see what they have to say about your player. It may be a known issue.

thanx for your answer:) Ultimate DBZ
i'm checking in their forum at the moment & found also some answer with a better research try than the 1st times, though it is not the exact same model (sd 210).

will post the result i have with my standalone player a bit later ;)

The trick mentioned on vcdhelp works really great for me too :

- selecting with the ANGLE button, Audio2, enter, then reselecting Audio1, enter. That's it.

thanx again UltimateDBZ for showing me the way : this really made my day :D :D

leave the 48Khz option on, don,t use resampling to 44.100 and everything works fine, i have no problems anymore on phillips player, almost every player accepts 48Khz audio with svcd, with nero ignore the message that you have wrong audio sample and go on with burning.

greetings kees

thanx kees, but i never used the resampling & yes everything works fine though, the delay is there so the "angle" trick is the only workaround for the already made svcds i got.

for the new ones i will try to raise the video delay in bbmpeg options to between 410 to 470 ms as it seems to be working for the older toshiba model (sd 210). we will see

anyway thanx for answering :)
