I've got a movie that has the FBI warning in VTS_02_1.VOB. There is nothing else in this VOB. Can someone tell me what is the best way to edit the IFO file so that I can delete the FBI warning?
Can I just change the post command to a pre command so that it skips playing VTS_2?

Hi,
Check wich Vob-Id is the FBI Warning. Then load Video_ts with Ifoedit and scroll down the VGM-Overview to the Menu language unit. See were the Vob_id is and do one click in that line and press the delete playback button.
Ok, now save the Ifo file and thatīs a rap! :D

Thanks for the suggestion Artur, this doesn't work. The FBI warning isn't listed in the menu language unit. Isn't this only applicable if the FBI warning were part of VTS_02_0.vob?
In my case, the FBI warning is part of the VTS_02_1.vob and uses VOB_ID 1.
I've tried loading the IFO file for VTS_2 and "delete playback" but then I get an illegal navigation error. Any more help please?

Hi,
try doing this:
- Open Ifoedit, choose the main movie Ifo. Choose VobExtras, check Vobs-Ids, ...... and strip everything except the Vob-Id 1. See if works.

have a similar problem, now what we need to know is where is the order of VOB's to be played stored at. if we can manipulate that we can choose to play only those we want, that way avoyding the anoying copyright displays.
also check this thread:

Can't do that either because the FBI warning is the only VOB_ID in VTS_2. If I try stripping it, IFOEDit will give me an error message:
"No navigation-pack found in VOB files! Looks like your dealing with invalid VOB files"
IFOEDIT gives that error message because I am basically asking IFOEDIT to delete all of the VOB file.

when is the FBI warning being played? when you enter the disc? if so check out the dvd-9 -> 2 dvd-r guide.. it shows you how to manipulate jump commands to go to a certain title directly.

thanks doom!!
i was really needing that!!
but there's one thing intriging me...
why are there 15 precomands on some movies, like shrek for example and the only slightly diferent command is the last one.
can i delete the others and keep just command number 1???

I wished I understood most of these commands (I don't.. but I guess I could learn if I spent some days with the Scenarist manual again).. if you have the energy try that manual or mpucoders site to understand what they're doing. Most likely it has something to do with reading out the default language of your player to set up the disc the right way (menu language, default audio and sub language), and check the region code.

i finally got it.
so here's what i did...
opened video_ts.ifo then in VMGM_MAT -> first play PGC
scroll down until i see the PGC Command Table.
the last pre command is an "order to jump" to VMG PGC 6.
so now you have to go to VMGM_PGCI_UT
under that menu go to PGC_menu 6 to the PGC Command Table once again.
in my case (SHREK) it is a link to PGC 7.
open that menu (PGC_menu 7) and you'll see and order to jump to title 8 (in my case it's the Dreamworks boy fishing from the moon).
now i really don't know where is the info saying which PGC menu is to follow that. But in PGC_menu 1 the order is to go to the main menu.
in my case and in your case after this main menu and after pressing the play button (inside the movie) you get the annoying copyright logo.
that order is given in PGC_menu 2. so here's what you have to do...
go to the command that gives that order.. and edit it so that it makes a jump to the main title (tile 1, in my case). oh... and you only need this command, so it is safe to delete all the others.
while you're there go through the rest of the menu's until you find the one that gives the order jump to TITLE 1. (in my case it's PGC_menu 3)
There is still one other thing to change...
in the VMGM_PGCI_UT menu itself scroll down until you see something like this...
Menu_2: VMGV_PGCI start byte
that adress corresponds to the copyright logo.
now scroll a bit down and see what is the adress for menu 3 (remember ?? the one that makes the main movie play !!!)
now go back to the menu 2 and edit the adress so that it is the same as the menu 3.
save the ifo, replace and you're set.
if it looks too confusing i'll do a image like guide for that and post that here... later.
