New version up
v0.18
Added I-Frame average quantizer
Added P-Frame average quantizer
Fixed a bug with consecutive I-Frames report (minor)
As usual you can get it following the link at my signature. Feel free to share bugs/suggestions :)
If you can't download it just e-mail or PM me to send it you you :)
And finaly a quote by sysKin about b-frames
Codec actually asks the core for a specified quant, and prints this quant to debug view - but it doesn't matter. This quant value will be ignored for b-frames.
It would be nice if xvid.dll didn't print this value at all. It should also be ignored in the statistics...
In other words the avg quantizer calculation is somewhat wrong. Well not exaclty, it's if as the B-frames were P-frames..I'll "fix" this at my next version :) or the debugview output is "fixed" to display the true B-frame quantizer ;)

Just wondering, is there a reason why xda seems not to finish scanning my log? Is there a limit to the length of movie I can scan?
It seems to go to the 33619th frame and stops right there and doesn't generate a report. Did I do something wrong?
BTW if explorer (or another program) spat out a few debug lines in the middle, will this affect XDA?

Hey, looks like a fun tool!
Unfortunately I can't really use it because it's Win only.
Couldn't it be published as GPL, then we could re-use some of the routines to be included in XVID itself, e.g. benchmarking in the examples dir.

Happy new year :).. just came back from my vacations..No there is not a limit to the length of movie and it doesn't matter if another program writes a few debug lines...
Could you e-mail me your log so that I can see if there is a wrong in XDA?? at s_ilias@gmx.net

Man, I must be going daft or something.
I almost just sent a 19mb attachment of my log without compressing the log >.<
I'll send you after I compress this file.
Argh, my computer crashed while I was uploading the file. Tell me if it got through.

Hello!
First I want to say thanx for such a great program.
And I have one suggestion, that might be useful. Let say that I save from DebugView to a file "spy_game.log", and when I run the program, it creates 3 files (analyze.txt, ccintra.txt and graph.txt). I thought it would be nice, that the program will create files named something like this: spy_game_analyze.txt or analyze_spy_game.txt or analyze-spy_game.txt.,etc That way it wouldn't overwrite other files from other movies. Just a thought.

You have 2 options to analyze your log is : a)delete manualy these line and analyze it, b)wait for a fix version :) ..I suggest (a) :p

Good grief... that was the error? XD
Thanks for the heads up. (I should've looked at those lines in the log since I already noticed that's where XDA stops, I must be going stupid again)
What do ya know?
