Audio capture

I'm capturing a film on a digital receiver. I'm useing Creatives home cinema capture card and the software is Dvd movie factory.
The video quality is not bad when I put it onto a DVD but the audio is slightly distorted. It is MPEG2 audio.Has anyone got any idea's.
