everytime i boot up i get a blue screen that says hard error and it gives me a foldername and a filename and then it jus freezes....its something like systemroot/sumtin/ntdect.dll... something of that nature....im using xp..any ideas on wut to do

you could try reformating...
win XP is full of protection shits, but when knowed down hard...
it's not error proof...
it happened to me twice... the fisrt time just after removing intel aplication acelerator, and the second one, after trying over and over to o/c until i caused some nice bad sectors to a 60 GB IBM :D
got it returned though!!!:D
so i guess i can start by reformating, if there's anything in the drive you need, then remove the HDD from your pc, conect it to another one, transfer stuff, format, install windows and transfer the stuff again...
one nice thing would be to have 2 partitions, that way you can format drive C and have all the files you need to keep in drive D, avoyding the need to unscrew your HDD and bla bla bla...

but then again it's just me...
i think if you can't enter windows in safe mode to use the "restore" feature then stop wasting time andgo for it... (reformat of course;) )
