hey,
What's GraphEdit?
And also, How can i mange my directshow filters? like if i have intervideo, cyberlink and valex's ac3 decoders, how can i choose which one will be used if i have all 3 registered?
I also need a way to know how to unregister filters and stuff (i need to know their filenames first!)
Thanks :)

or rather codecs:
go to control panel/ system /device manager/ Audio- Video- Gamecontrollers/ Audiocodecs -> right click and chose properties/ on the properties you can uninstall/deactivate and chose the priority of codecs
hope this helped!!

AFAIK there is no neat way to change the DirectShow filter settings.
You have to manually change the subkeys found in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{083863F1-70DE-11d0-BD40-00A0C911CE86}\Instance in the registry.
But make sure to make a backup of the registry before playing with this.

GraphEdit is a Microsoft program.
It is included in the DirectX Software Developers Kit (SDK), which can be downloaded in entirety from Microsoft. GraphEdit is also available from Doom9's downloads: http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Audio/graphedit.rar

Caleb666,
you might want to try ZoomPlayer. Not only that it's an incredible MM player, it has also some neat stuff in it for DS filter managment.

This works only for VfW codecs, not for Dshow filters .. using Zoomplayer is the easiest way to change filter merit ( priority ), hax0ring the registry is the other way ..

What's so good about Zoomplayer?
Is it better than WMP8/9 or MPC or BSPlayer?

IMO, MPC is the easiest way to change priority.
I did not find this in Zoomplayer

You can find a newer version of Graphedit (directx9 compatible ,but not taken directly from SDK) ar www.progdigy.com
In a few words ,it's a develloper's kit to make directshow filter graph s and play every media supported from an activex window,or ever extract tha graph for use with zoomplayer.MediaPlayerClassic(by Gabest) doesnt need graphedit to work-it's very easy to use and quite stable now
