BSPlayer, only plays on primary monitor?

I've got a AIW 8500DV, and when i want to watch movies on my TV, i just extend my desktop and drag the movie over. ATI Media Player works fine, but since i was watching a movie with AC3 audio, it seemed like BSPlayer was working better. It wouldn't display on the TV, but it displayed on the monitor. If i swapped the tv and the monitor so the TV was the primary display it worked. Anyone know how to fix this so i can just drag it over and play it on the TV while still doing stuff on the monitor?

In my opinion it's not the fault of any player you'll test(BSPlayer,Zoomplayer,MPC....
It's a problem of your graphic card/graphic drivers/settings.

just one example:
With my Radeon VE I can watch the movie on the TV and at the same time I could work at the monitor.
But my Radeon has the restriction of switching to !! 60 Hz on the monitor while playing the video on TV. That's not much...and I would get headache if I would work with 60 Hz. ;)

what i don't understand is that it works on every player, except BSPlayer

It's strange that only the BSPlayer doesn't work.
It's probably a overlay problem of BSPlayer. I can't find a any settings about overlay in the preferences, too.

Use Zoomplayer(more settings) or MPC; these'll support overlay settings and as you said these players also work for you --> time to change or to use a second one!

what would work better for ac3?

It's a matter of taste which player you wanna use.
Both support ac3 and the ac3 quality always depends which ac3 filter you use and not which player you use.
I like Zoomplayer but MPC is also a good one. Read one thread above about MPC.
Test for yourself which you prefer.

edit: you should also go to the Doom9 Audio forum for alternative ac3 filters and read about it.
