DRU500A 4x

Is anyone getting 4x speed out of the DRU500A? I have 1.0f firmware and I am using Ritex G04 disk. I am in RMA mode Nero confirms the disk is 4x but it then takes 20 minutes to bun a 2.4gig disk. I used avdvinfo to verify the disk are Ritex and 4x disk. What now?:(

Did you enable DMA?

I made a typeo I said RMA and should have type DMA and yes it is enabled.

I've also seen systems with "DMA activated", but in fact, it wasn't: the device manager showed crap information! It claimed DMA to be on, but it wasn't...

Solution was to remove the IDE channel from the device manager. After 2 reboots (one to install it again, another one to enable DMA) it worked.

Well no such luck I have removed and reinstalled and 2x is what I guess I must get use to. Does anyone know if Sony has Ritex in the firmware at 4x?
