Hi all

I understand that CDmage is the tool to use for converting the CD Images created by DVD2SVCD (i.e. bin/cue) to EZ CD Creator cif/iso image format.

I've downloaded it. Wonderful. But does anyone know how to actually perform the conversion? I cannot find a manual or help file anywhere. Even the forum at their website doesn't cover it.

Sometimes I think the very basics get lost in all the technical stuff and first time users can find it hard to gleen the information that to others is so easy.

Can anyone either give me a number list of operations to perform for converting one image format to another or direct me to a place that has such instructions.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks to all for an incredibly informative forum.

I have only used cdmage for converting from cif to bin/cue (at a time when I-author was the only authoring tool for SVCDs supported by dvd2svcd). Even so, the latest beta of cdmage will only open ezcd4.x cif images, the "new" cif version (5.x and up) is incompatible.
I would suggest you to burn the bin/cues using vcdeasy, cdrdao (both free) or cdrwin (Shareware) - alternatively, you can extract the video from the bin/cue (use cdmage or vcdeasy/vcdimager to do so) and reauthor the disc. An easier way is to install daemon tools (a virtual drive for disc images), load the bin/cue and then then do a 1:1 disc copy from the virtual drive (described as the "foolproof method" in the dvd2svcd q&a's).
To my knowledge, ezcd won't allow overburning, though, and dvd2svcd bins are usually filled to the max ...
Good luck!
