Hi,

When i use dvdv2svcd it always automatically chooses the main movie from the dvd. I can rip and convert it without problems. But... i want to rip the bonus / extra tracks that are on the dvd and i see no way to select them in dvd2svcd.

OK, why not use Vstrip? It should be able to do everything that's possible :) and with the help of Vstrip_GUI it seems usable even to to me. And it shows me VOB ID 01, Cell ID 01-09 (the main movie with 9 chapters) and VOB ID 02-10 with Cell ID 01 (the 9 bonus tracks).

And there my knowledge ends and i have no idea how to proceed. Whatever i do, the best i can produce is some VOB file without the rest (like an IFO file) that is normally needed to feed dvd2svcd.

Any help for this nitwit is apreciated!

regards, Jan

please do a search for e.g. "dvd with extras" in the dvd2svcd basics forum

Thanks for the help, your keywords were much better than the ones i tried. I did some reading in that forum and i must admit.... it didn.t really make me happy :)

I decided to take another route and downloaded IfoEdit, ripped the dvd and created a new "dvd on my hd" with only the bonus tracks i wanted and only the subtitles i needed.

Then i loaded the .ifo file from this "dvd on hd" into dvd2svcd and it showed me, as far as i could see, only the bonus tracks. So now i'm encoding the thing to svcd. Takes about 2 hours of (im)patience :(

Thanks again for your input, Jan

Also, fractal, be careful with your use of ?! in titles... check rule #9 ;)
