View Full Version : Problem with keeping the original menu

I can't seem to get the menu working.

Example:-

FILM: Superman II R1

I used TmpgEnc to downsample it and create two files. m2v and mp2.

I used Ifoedit to author these files back in to vobs. This also creates a new video_ts.ifo and vts_01_0.ifo, now if i burn the movie now the movie plays fine on the pc and on a standalone dvd player.

So the dvd layout looks like this:-

video_ts.ifo
video_ts.bup
vts_01_0.ifo
vts_01_0.bup
vts_01_1.vob
vts_01_2.vob
vts_01_3.vob

Problem:-

When I add the original menu file vts_01_0.vob and go back in to IfoEdit, click get VTS SECTORS it says 'a menu vob has been found, but there are no menu tables and that I should delete through the menu file' therefore it will not play back on a dvd player correctly (or similar).

So I tried using IfoUpdate, used the original ifo's from the orignal Superman II DVD disc and the newly authored ones. Still no luck and the movie plays all messed up. I.E:- Movie plays for a couple of minutes then the menu boots, if i select play the movie starts off where the menu booted.

So how do i get the original working menu to work with newly authored vobs? What could I be doing wrong, this is so frustrating.

Cheers

PS: I've read up on this problem in the forums and i've tried doing as they say as mentioned above with GET VTS SECTORS and IfoUpdate, but still no luck.
