I have ATI's DVD player, Cyberlink's PowerDVD and Intervideo's WinDVD installed on my computer, when I play an mpeg2 file in media player, it chooses the intevideo directshow filters by default, I'm trying to figure out how to play w/ that, but didn't see anything obvious in the registry, and google searches have failed me :(
I know I can do it with graphedit, but would like it to be somewhat permanent for media player.
any ideas?
thanks.

Get a http://lightalloy.softdepia.com/DSFMgr.zip - run it,
find filter that you hate, double click on it and in the right
bottom of the window find a editbox with merit. Enter low
value like 00200000 and press button "Set merit".
Or if you want to completely forget about this filter, press
"Unregister" button.

@spotter,
You can use the Blight's ZoomPlayer or Gabest's MPC to do that.
From Zoomplayer,
you could try the "manual filters" and then choose the "registered filter manager", choose the filter and change the merit value.
From MPC, you could simply go to the "Options" and choose "Filters"
simply use "Step Up" and "Step Down" botton, but remember that you have to play the media file with the MPC, because it's not change the
merit value.
Goodluck!
