I'm just starting out capturing, but have run into a problem with audio static while capturing a TV signal.

ASUS A7N266 (nForce 420 graphics, CMedia CMI8738 audio), Athlon 2000+ XP, Pinnacle PCTVPro, BtWinCap drivers, MS AMCAP capture application, cable TV signal, 352x480 HuffYUV

I've done some test captures from a VCR using Line-In & Composite-In, which played back okay. But now when I capture from TV-In and using the loopback cable I get lots of static on the playback, although everything sounds okay during the capture. I tried various sampling rates etc with no change.

Any suggestions? I will double check the Mixer settings etc. I'll also try using a VCR as a tuner and capturing from Composite-In.
