Hey guys.

I downloaded a DIVx file that I want to put on to DVD, I encoded it in to MPEG2 in Cleaner, it created a seperate MPEG2 file and WAV file, no problem, all sounds fine. But then when I tried to merge the 2 using Vegas Video to create 1 file, Vegas failed to recognise the mpeg file that Cleaner created, yet it plays fine in every player. Is there any other software that can either merge MPG & WAV files together, or allow authoring by selecting an audio and mpeg file. I am sure there are many other items of software that can do this, but I am just so used to using Vegas Video that I haven't needed anything else for this task.

Does anyone know any DIVX to MPG2 software that creates 1 big single MPG2 file ? Or does it have to seperate the streams ?

TMPEG? CCE?

Try the DVD-related forums, you will get better answers there. This does not really concern DivX5 even though that is your starting format.

Oh yes, Doom9's guides (http://www.doom9.org) can also give you some hints.

Thanks.

Sure, although I wasn't sure though which forum to use, I thought maybe some Divx users could tell me why the file was unreadable with my encoder, I thought maybe it was a common problem with Divx file conversions.

Hi-

For muxing the streams, bbMPEG is the way to go. Doom9 even has a Guide (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/bbmpeg.htm).
