Hi, i would like to suggest to Doom9 to write a new article ; An article about resising and denoising Avisynth filters. (for both 2.07 and 2.5) i think there is great confusion among users over which filters to use for their movies, at what order and what are their effects on compressability, crispness and of course on noise-block reduction. i think many screenshots would be handy and movie categorisation (ie, Extra clean (fast and furrious), Clean (the matrix) , Clean but with blockiness (SWEP 2 : Attack of the clones), noisy ( the alien), anime etc). i am willing to help if needed, but i would suggest to the authors of the best avisynth filters (simpleresize, convolution3d etc) to contribute as well.

good idea but I'm afraid you have the wrong guy. I'm an anti-filter guy. I've never found any filter that did what I wanted to do with the video and in the end I prefer to keep movies as close to the original as possible. But, if somebody else writes it I won't turn him down.

ok after new year's holiday i will begin writing. I had the dame opinion with you about filters until i saw convolution3d and its effects on star wars episode 2 : attack of the clones. it is a noisy-blocky movie and this filter removed many artifacts without bluring at all.happy holidays!
