I hate to ask what seems to me to be one of the most simple questions. but I've searched all over and I haven't found any information on programming a dvd to loop.
I don't have any of the fancy dvd authoring software so I'm hoping that I can find some instruction on how to do it in ifoedit.
I do have MGI videowave 5 and sonic MyDVD but neither of them seem to have facilities to program a loop.

in dvdvirtuoso to do a loop (ie www.flashbackentertainment.com and in novelty) i drop the movie in as a single chapter, and i set the end action (what to do when the movie is finished) to the start of the movie.

Your authoring package cannot add the "end action" that you need (to jump back to the beginning). However, you may be able to do this "post authoring" by using IFOEdit to change the POST COMMAND following the movie to "Jump Title 1" (or whatever it turns out to be).
More advanced authoring packages can do this with ease.

Can someone break this down an little simpler for a newbie?
I've been crawling thru IFOedit and thought I changed the right POST COMMAND, but my movie still won't loop.

in VTS_01_O.ifo
in the VTS_PCGITI -> VTS_PGC_1 look for PGC Command Table it's after the subpictures anc color stuff. right click on "Size of command table in bytes" and choose Add PostCommand, edit it and set it to JumbVTS_PTT Title:1 chapter:1
That did it for me.
